The Melham Medical Center Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization, which will develop resources and manage funds in support of the health care mission of the Melham Medical Center in Central Nebraska. The Foundation will work to provide support and services developed
and implemented to improve the overall health status
of the communities served by the Medical Center.
Friends in the community gained a new link to the Medical Center in 1994, when the Board of Directors established the Melham Medical Center Foundation.
As a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit foundation, the Melham Medical Center Foundation may receive tax-exempt gifts to help the facility maintain and expand its mission of service to the community. The Foundation is an organizational unit of the medical center, supervised by a five-member board of directors. These board members act as trustees of all Foundation funds. It is recommended that persons, corporations and organizations desiring to make gifts of donations for the benefit of the hospital, do so through the Foundation.

The Melham Medical Center Foundation is an organizational unit of the Melham Medical Center, Inc. Immediate and constant supervision of the Foundation’s activities is provided by a five-member Board of Directors, which is comprised of local persons who are leaders, knowledgeable and experienced in health care and community issues.
Michael J. Steckler, President/CEO of the Medical Center, serves as the Foundation’s Executive Director and uses the administrative, accounting and legal services provided by the Medical Center to carry out the day-to-day operation of the Melham Medical Center Foundation.
In 1994, the Board of Directors of the Melham Medical Center took action to establish the Melham Medical Center Foundation, through which “all gifts directed to the Melham Medical Center should be received, managed, invested and distributed.” It is recommended that persons, corporations and organizations desiring to make gifts or donations for the benefit of the hospital, do so through the Foundation.
