From one end of the facility to the other, volunteers play an important role at Melham Medical Center!
Since early 1957, the Hospital Auxiliary has given countless hours of service and thousands of dollars in donations to improve healthcare services in the community. Originally, this group worked with the old Community Hospital until Melham Medical Center was built.
Bi-annual Rummage Sales, yearly Bridge Tournaments and Medical Career Scholarships are among major projects.
At Heritage Hall nursing home, volunteers have been helping bring entertainment, social activities and spiritual enrichment to residents since the facility was established in 1972.
Volunteers also play an integral part in the Custer County Hospice program, adding a personal touch to support of patients, friends and families. They also assist with clerical duties, correspondence, and fund raising efforts.
The perfect volunteer opportunity awaits you. Melham Medical Center volunteers are exceptional individuals who give
back to their community. These men, women and teenagers donate their time and
share their talents throughout our hospital bringing a special personal touch to our patients and families.
